Importation from Sweden and reindeer herd dogs from Finland used in
accordance with the reindeer grazing agreement.
Norwegian and Swedish dogs and cats may travel without
restrictions between the two countries.
Dogs and cats that are legally imported either to Norway or to Sweden
may travel between the two countries without further requirements. Documentation
of legal importation to Norway (valid Health and Vaccination Certificate)
or to Sweden (valid Vaccination Certificate and import permit) must
be available upon demand at all times as proof of legal import.
Herd dogs used actively in herding reindeer and that in this capacity
pass the border into Finland may return to Norway without further restrictions
in accordance with the reindeer grazing agreement between Norway and
Finland.
Note: Animals imported to Sweden from countries other than Norway,
must have a valid import permit issued from the Swedish Board of Agriculture,
55 182 Jönköping, Sweden.
