Category 2:
Importation of Norwegian and Swedish animals after transit through Finland.

Norwegian and Swedish dogs and cats may travel in transit through Finland without documentation of the animal health status upon the following conditions:

1. TRANSPORT DOCUMENT
An official Transport Document approved by the Norwegian Animal Health Authority - Central Unit must accompany the animal during the transit. The document must be presented to the Customs Authorities at the border at the beginning and end of the trip to document the time the transit has taken. The Transport Document is available from the Norwegian Animal Health Authority - District Veterinarian or the Customs Authorities. The document will, at a later time, also be available on the Internet at: http.//blanketter.ft.dep.no.

2. DURATION OF THE TRANSIT TRIP
The total time in Finland must be less than 6 hours and the animal must be kept isolated in the transport vehicle so that it does not come into contact with other animals in Finland.

3. IDENTIFICATION
As of 1 January 1999 the animal must be identified with a readable tattoo or microchip. The identification number must be stated on the Transport Document. If the microchip is not of FECAVA or ISO standard, the animal owner must provide a compatible reader.
